Scholarship Information
Each year the Hunterdon Hills Garden Club sponsors scholarships for Hunterdon County students who plan to further their education in the arrears of horticulture, botany, floriculture, landscape design, agriculture, forestry, conservation, environmental studies, urban planning or associated areas of study.
The scholarships are available to graduation seniors as well as undergraduates and graduate students (usually previous recipients who re-apply). In recent years we have been pleased to offer scholarships to two (2) or three (3) students usually of $1000+. The exact amounts vary each year as they dependent on our fundraising efforts.
Applications are due by April 1, 2009, with recipients announced by mid-June.

HUNTERDON HILLS GARDEN CLUB AWARDS SCHOLARSHIPS TO DESERVING COUNTY STUDENTS
The Hunterdon Hills Garden Club(HHGC) recently held its most successful garden tour in Tewksbury, with the objective of raising money for scholarships for Hunterdon County youths. Since 1992, the club has awarded over $20,000 in scholarships to deserving students.
Scholarships are awarded to students who plan to pursue careers in horticulture, agriculture, conservation or related fields. Scholarships totaling $5,000 were awarded at the Club’s Annual Members Luncheon. This year twelve applicants applied for scholarships. Three winners were chosen.
Congratulations to Shane Scheibener will be attending North Carolina State, majoring in environmental engineering. Jennifer Wehof, a Sophomore at Stevens Institute of Technology, majoring in environmental engineering and Luke Swift, a Senior at Delaware Valley College majoring in Agriculture, Luke and Jennifer were past HHGC scholarship recipients.
